The automatic movements that power a Vincero watch are manufactured and sourced from Japan. Whilst the stainless steel and sapphire-coated mineral glass is sourced from here, other materials like the premium leather used for its watch straps, along with the marble pieces for some designs, are sourced from Italy. Commonly Asked Questions About Vinceroįor quick reference, here are some Q&As about this popular watch brand: Are Vincero Watches Made in China?Īlthough Vincero’s customer service headquarters are situated in San Diego, the brand’s timepieces are manufactured in China where the three college friends who founded the company relocated before launching the business. However, more recently, the brand’s line of automatic models has reduced considerably, costing on average of around $160. In the past, automatic Vincero watches used to cost a lot more, reaching up to around $360. While some collectors can’t fault the dial design of a Vincero watch, others believe the displays could offer a little more in terms of detail and quality.Ī post shared by Vincero Collective fact that Vincero uses Japanese movements to power its watches ensures the brand can reduce the cost of manufacture, keeping its prices low. Vincero also claims to adhere to a rigorous testing process carried out in-house on each watch and produces its wristwatches in batches. ![]() It was the first accessories brand to become 100% carbon neutral certified in 2019. Vincero also designs all its own watches from initial pencil sketches right through to the end product. Whether you consider a Vincero watch worth the investment depends on whether you like to throw all your savings into one luxury watch or whether you like to grow your collection by adding a few lower-budget timepieces to your range for the same price. True to its promise, the company offers various styles and designs to explore throughout its many collections. In an era when it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find a quality wristwatch for under $200, Vincero is making its mark. The company claims that its watches are a testament to the brand’s dedicative approach to research, experience, and know-how. So, who’s behind Vincero, the watch brand? Well, Vincero was founded in 2014, and it remains one of the youngest watch brands on the horological market. Others who have been collecting affordable luxury watches for some time may believe that Vincero does offer something a little “extra” for its price point. Experienced luxury watch collectors will no doubt say that Vincero is no match for a Patek Philippe or Rolex, and rightly so. Like many watch brands, however, the company can divide the crowds. The brand offers a variety of styles, making it both accessible and versatile. ![]() Vincero watches are a hot topic on the market right now. Vincero is a company that advertises itself as a luxury watch brand that promises exceptional craftsmanship. The storyline is unique but does share some similarities (in style) to other games such as Limbo and Little Nightmares. From escaping trains, outrunning spiders, dodging lasers, avoiding the natural enemy of water, and (my most favorite) outwitting the robot vacuum just shows how much thought and creativity went into creating this game. I really enjoyed the thought that went into creating the enemies of Line’s. The puzzles are fun and not too difficult to solve, but with the quick back and forth response times needed, it may raise your heartbeat a little. Using an Xbox controller (highly recommended) or a keyboard and mouse – you will navigate little Line throughout a series of rooms and environments, to explore, solve puzzles, and outwit enemies. It will take some time (and a lot of trial and error) to utilize these abilities, but once you get the hang of them, the rest of the game is relatively simple to play. Each one reveals an action button or provides you with a special ability, such as being able to leap like a frog, fly like a bird, or roll around as a scrunched-up ball of paper. These prompts usually appear as drawings on pages of a book or on the side of objects. The only clues that you are given throughout the game come in the form of illustrated prompts. Experience the story of Line and then embark on three prequel chapters, featuring a different paper protagonist with its own origami shapeshifting abilities and tale to tell. The film follows the story of tireless researchers who trace the origins of the anti-gay movement among Christians to a grave mistranslation of the Bible in 1946. As organisations and individuals seek greater understanding around diversity, equity, and inclusion, the film’s research and discoveries are paramount in answering the question: where did this even begin? The documentary’s goal is to spread understanding, compassion and hope around what can be a divisive and painful issue. Could you tell us a bit about your film and the themes it explores?ġ946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture sheds light on the senseless negative impact a simple mistranslation has had on society, specifically the LGBTQIA+ community. ![]() We’re talking about human dignity here and if religious leaders can use sacred writing to undermine that dignity, we can return to the same and restore it because often times the source of the poison is where you find the cure. Not only is this important, this is wonderful! The urgency of sharing our stories cannot be overstated. It invites everyone everywhere to show solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities in countries where freedom and equal rights are limited. Part of BFI Flare is the #FiveFilmsForFreedom initiative – five films are streamed for free for audiences globally. Now as an LGBTQIA+ filmmaker I am so honoured to play a role in sharing our stories through the power of media. It allowed me to walk through my sexual orientation a little easier. I was about five years old when I first saw a lesbian couple featured on a news program on TV. I immediately identified with them. This was in the early 1980s when there was very little to no representation about our community, at least no positive media. That news program opened my eyes to who I truly was and gave me the opportunity to define it years later as a teenager. Onscreen representation is important for people to understand that they are not alone. Being represented in media affords us that opportunity. Media played an important role in my coming out process and I share this experience in the first five minutes of our film, 1946. Why do you think onscreen representation at BFI Flare is valuable for LGBTQIA+ audiences and allies? It is the greatest privilege of my life to be able to tell this story and I can’t wait to see the ripple effect it will have in the world. We are creating change, sharing hope and saving lives. This film is my directorial debut and I am extremely proud of not only how far I’ve come as an individual and the things that I have learned but the people that we have already reached through our social media outreach and our community outreach. I believe it can change our reality and culture moving forward for the LGBTQIA+ plus. Being a lesbian has never really been an issue in those environments.īut once I learned that the word homosexual first appeared in the Bible in 1946 and that it was a mistranslation I felt compelled to tell this story. As a lesbian person who is a product of religious trauma I know how important this message is and it would have been irresponsible of me not to make this film. I’ve always been an out LGBTQIA+ filmmaker and I have worked on major motion pictures and television shows with high-profile talent and professional crews. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever make a documentary, let alone about The Bible and to have the opportunity to direct and produce my own feature film. I love getting a new script and playing a part in seeing the pages come to life on the screen. I always wanted to be a storyteller and to have a career in the film industry. Being a lesbian woman I am the closest to a boy he ever got so I adopted the nickname for myself as a reminder of my strength and courage to live authentically. No matter which you choose - if you’ve had an ankle sprain, give your ankle some support. If you want to avoid an ankle injury, athletic ankle taping helps, but it’s not as effective or as cost-effective as using an ankle brace. This may sound like a larger investment, but it’s more cost-expedient when you consider how often an ankle has to be taped, and the overall costs of possible re-injury. The cost of an ankle brace can vary greatly depending on the material, quality, and whether the device is custom or over the counter. Ankle braces also lose some of their support after exercise, but they can be easily readjusted, which takes less time than re-taping the ankle. According to a study published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, athletic tape loses up to 40% of its support after only ten minutes of exercise.Īnkle braces are thicker and more rigid than athletic tape, which means more support for the ankle. Once an athlete gets on the field, the ankle tape loosens up and doesn’t provide enough ankle support. If the ankle isn’t taped properly, it won’t offer enough support to reduce the risk of injury. Taping is more time-consuming than putting on a brace and there’s greater room for error. ![]() Wearing an ankle brace has some benefits over taping an ankle. They found that wearing an ankle brace was twice as effective for avoiding injury as athletic ankle taping. Bracing: Which is Better?īoth ankle taping and wearing an ankle brace during sports can reduce the risk of an ankle injury – but an ankle brace is generally considered the best choice for ankle joint protection.Ī study published in the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine compared the two forms of ankle protection by following 300 football players over a six-year period.
